Vaughan Jessnitz

Founder and Principal

Vaughan is an experienced wilderness guide and conservationist with over 15 years of experience in the field. He founded Goliath Training with the goal of providing the highest quality training to aspiring safari guides, researchers, and conservationists.

Sophie Barrett

Co-founder

Sophie has been enchanted by nature as long as she can remember, and has spent the last 9 years guiding and working in conservation in the African Bush. She joins Vaughan as a director of Goliath Training bringing her passion and experience to help provide the highest quality education in conservation, research and guiding.

Lead Instructor

Vaughan is also a world-renowned expert in wilderness and environmental training. He has worked with some of the top researchers and conservationists in the world, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Goliath Training.
